MIDNIGHT IN PARIS

With Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams, Kathy Bates, Michael Sheen, Corey Stoll, Kurt Fuller, Mimi Kennedy, Nina Arianda

Written & Directed by Woody Allen

When it comes to the romantic comedy, Woody Allen's unique film-making style is always a joy to behold.

Here an engaged couple accompanies the parents of the bride-to-be on a trip to Paris. Wilson is the classic Allen character in a quandary in his life. In the city of love the hesitant writer realizes that this relationship may be a one-sided affair. Accidentally stumbling upon a series of fantastical time-transforming experiences at midnight, he reevaluates his life in a creatively opulent environment of the past, while for the first time feeling he is really living.

Woody Allen still knows how to deliver his unique humour coupled with a great story, resulting in the movie receiving four Oscar nominations for 2012, including Best Picture (which is up against some tough competition, incl. another Paris setting of Martin Scorsese's Hugo).
